January "Blahs" can have currently in your household. New years resolutions may have long gone are seven ways to make sure that your family is in full-blown hibernation this winter.
Community Center: Recreation centers are one of the best resources to keep kids active during the cold months. Sign your little for a sport or activity you are interested in. Swimming, ice skating and other indoor activities are perfect opportunities to stay fit.Brave elements: Depending on where you life bad weather is not always a bad thing. If you enjoy life in a snowy climate a snow Fort, snow shoeing or a good old Winter hike. If you sledging near a hill - and if you give fields / close - cross country skiing trails shot.Wii tournament: Have a fun active game night have a gaming system, (Wii, Kinect) host, etc. Wii boxing burns a decent amount of calories and more vigorous games of rock band is never a bad thing.
Dance party:.Crank of the music and get your kids to show your stuff! If you are too young to know should be how embarrassed you, your stuff show MOM and dad you also!
Home obstacle course:. You use furniture, toys, broom handles and get your kids cringe stepping and climbing obstacles you can set up.
"Commercial challenge": I know most people "Pvr" today but pause shows every 10 minutes or so, and set up a physical challenge with your kids as a push up contest, 100 jumping jacks or a game of flip the bear (father or mother during Kids try on all fours and knock over ground).
Trip to the Mall:. A brisk walk around the Mall is a great way to pass some time after school or on weekends during the cold months. Extra food court go quickly over to though!
The key is for parents here to take the initiative and with the children as much as possible to do these activities. So it becomes a family affair to help get the whole family that more fit and offer opportunities for bonding. Set limits on screen time will help to open doors for activity opportunities.
What are your ideas Winter activity?
